Gynecological: Gynecological and Obstetric care are being provided from this hospital during OP time. A population of 1.5 lakhs distributed over the panchayaths of Vithura, Tholicode, Aryanad, Peringamala utilize this service. Lab: A laboratory which functions here has the status of D.M.C. Service of two technicians is available here, besides the two appointed from RNTCP and HMC. Beyond the free tests suggested by the Government, with the help and co-operation of H.M.C, the tests of pregnancy, Hb,TC,DC,ESR, Urine routine test, Blood Sugar, Cholesterol,Renal function test, Liver function test, Lipid profile etc are also being done here at a nominal fees. Certain tests like the test for Malaria, Sputum test(RNTCP)and urine sugar are also being done here free of coast. The lab functions on working day during OP time. |  |
Vision Testing: On every Monday, Wends day and Friday vision testing is being conducted here under the supervision of an ophthalmic assistant . The patients in whom cataract has been detected are referred to nearest Govt. Eye hospital. After vision testing, appropriate advice is also given with respect to the usage of correct spectacles.
IDRV Clinic: IDRV facility is offered free of coast round the clock for needy patients.The staff is well trained for the administration of IDRV.
ICTC Counseling: A recently initiated ICTC center (Jyothis) has gained wide popularity and one of the busy area of the hospital. This center functions on all working days during OP time and is manned by well trained staff.
RSBY Service: In conjunction with the Govt.Policy of Rashtrya Swasthya Beema Yojana, services approved by Govt. for Inpatients are also being provided here from 8.00am to 6.00pm by well trained ASHA workers.
Palliative Care: Pain and palliative service clinics are held every monday by our staff who visit the houses of deserving patients in need of palliative service and provide necessary support and care.
IMAGE: Waste disposal has been made very efficient by the tie-up with the IMA sponsored program (IMAGE). regular disposal of waste is being done as per the direction of IMAGE.
Ambulance Service: Emergency referral of patients is being done via an ambulance run by the hospital. Besides this, service of 108 are also being utilized from time to time efficiently, as there ambulance is stationed with in the hospital premise 24hrs a day. Besides ambulance for emergency services, there is a vehicle for day-to-day field activities at this hospital.
